Coaching

East River Park Track Club is committed to bringing out the best in it's members. To accomplish this, ERPTC offers individual training plans and a club running program. The benefits from an individual training plan and the club running program are improvements in endurance, recovery, and race performance.

Training Plan
Goal orientated, effort based training plans are created by a RRCA certified coach.
To get started, an athlete is interviewed by a coach and the questionnaire is completed.
A goal will be defined and progress towards the goal will be continuously assesed by a coach.
Athletes may use a training log or Strands.com training log feature for the coach to keep up to date of the training.
Nutrition, stretching techniques, strength work, and recovery tips are included with the plan.
Training plans can be created for any age,level of experience, ability and for any event - from a 5K to a Marathon and above.

Club Running Program
Participate in group runs and workouts to ensure commitment and build confidence.
Receive instruction from a RRCA certified coach.
Learn about running fundamentals and proper running form.
